RBBFC2 had to face their second big test of the season far away in the Vlams-Brabant, the only known place around being le carré. A beautiful pitch was waiting for the players though, adding some extra boost to the already high motivation in the changing room.

A 4-3-3 was used again by the Capitano, with Massi, Patrick and Nick making their way into the starting line-up. After the warm up, our special Spanish guest star took in charge the stretching session at the end of which Lolo was forced to let his place to Ali.

The first part of the half was clearly on the opponent advantage as they started stronger, created more chances and trouble in defence. Their effort was paid off from a free-kick awarded outside the box, a straight shot that left everyone speechless. But not without reaction, the lack of fluidity and build up from the beginning of the game went slowly off and RBBFC2 started to be dangerous. After a good combination between Pellegry, Tarik and Horacio on the left, Horacio found himself in a position were a long distance shot could have seem a bit crazy to try. But not with their keeper, who looked more like the Michelin Bibendum than a proper keeper. And as he fired a probably poor shot as some have said but on target one, he got the equalizer. With the confidence back, more chances were created and Nick, helped by the tireless cafu style Daniele on the right, started to do his tricky stuff and nearly won a penalty. It was then from a similar action as last week but with this time Horacio founding Charly vertically after a diagonal run from the striker that a decisive one and one went on. Charly took his time to control the ball, put it on the floor, look up to see where Bibendum was, said hello my name is Charly and I want to be on fire so please don’t move and let this ball going through… After what RBBFC2 was in front until half time!

After the break, RBBFC2 came confident as they had managed to turn the score around and kept focused on holding their advantage and trying to get the winner. As the opponents decided to play higher, more space was left at their back for the counter attacks. The third goal could have come from a good cross originated by Erwin on the right who came in the beginning of the second half, or from deep balls to Horacio or Tarik, but all the chances were wasted. In the meantime, Adrian the furious pit-bull was helping the defence to clear all the threats, corners and free-kicks. Someone was always here to clear the danger, Patrick winning the headers and el Capitano having to make some saves as well. Maybe to counterbalance the first half penalty claim, the referee did not whistle a tackle from Massi, coming from behind in the penalty area and maybe not even touching the ball J Sam and Quique also came in to help defending the score towards the end of the game. It was eventually few minutes before the end that RBBFC2 got their winner from a free-kick awarded in front of goal, just outside the box. Ali took his chance and his gently curved ball ended in the back right of the net. The job was done! Within few minutes to go, Lolo came in to rest Charly who was victim of a bad challenge. The score did not change anymore and RBFF2 got their second win in 2 games, what a brillant start!
