On a windy and rainy day in Ohain, RBBFC2 meets the leader of the league, LTC, for a game that smells like a big battle. Indeed the goods need three points to bounce back while the home team wants to strengthen its position at the top of the table.

The cold and the rain don’t seem to have any impact on the spirit of the team except for Puigpuig capitano who after six months travelling the world and surviving barely every danger still suffers from pharyngitis, sinusitis, bronchitis, etc (name it, he caught them all). Luckily, Missile Mineo makes his entrance in the changing room, cheering everyone up and fully ready with a kit that has this beautiful SNCB-INFRABEL smell.

One big change to mention this season, the Italian mafia composed today by Missile, NonoSmooth and Ale « Vieri » feels now a strong competition from the French touch crew with Ben belle, Mister Q and Bonbon. In preparation for the game, it has been asked to start strong and play as a unit in order to disturb the opponent.

An experienced warm-up is led by the smooth operator while Tarik is dealing with the fact that no ref would come today. The team gets in position playing today in a 4-5-1 system.

The unbreakable and not-yet-vet Pellegry will hold the right back position next to the pair Bon-Gunther while Ben comme le jour will play at left back his almost natural position (though he would tell you that he normally plays a bit higher on the pitch).

A pair of « Draris » holds the midfield with superBrocolisPower Mus and Assassin Tarik. The wings will be full of pace with Missile Mineo and Cheeky Willy.

Every team should have its little magician, City has Silva, RBBFC2 has Q playing behind the third English, third Italian, third Belgian Ale.

The game starts and the whites are disciplined and focused. The team does not have much possession but LTC 2 cannot find the space between the lines and after 10 minutes RBBFC2 manages to get more of the ball. Pellegry building up from the back gives the ball to Daniele who turns well to pass his opponent who for the second time tackles him from behind leaving a strong mark with his metal studs. That was too much for Bonbon who steps in to make clear that you do not mess around with one of his own without reaction. The message and intention were clear, RBBFC2 were not coming as willing victims.

A good combination between Ben and Q led to a good pass to Ale who after passing between two defenders is brought down in the box. Penalty ? No, nothing given by the ref to the disbelief of the whites. However, this gave even more confidence to the seconds who kept pushing. The next chance fell into Q feet whose shot was blocked by the keeper with the ball bouncing back between defenders. Missile Mineo having sprinted from the half way line reached it first but could not get a clean contact to score. Close. Just before half-time, the ref gives a last corner for the whites. A flick at the first post by Tarik ends up in Massi’s feet but his shot is blocked on the line and then cleared away. The first half ends on a score of 0-0.

The whites start the second half with the same intensity. Musta collecting a ball from Fred is able to turn, « feintes de corps » and provides a great through ball that finds Daniele that crosses it first time and meets Ale whose header falls close. On the other side of the picth, LTC obtained a throw in that does not seem dangerous. Unfortunately, the LTC striker is able to shoot the ball on the turn which goes right into the bottom corner. 1-0 for LTC.

This is time to bring some fresh blood to a white side who already gave a lot with Charlie « silky feet » coming in for Ale and Sioux « Supersonic » for Daniele. These guys had brought all the material to remain hot on the bench with a special mention for the beautiful yellow hat of Sioux. The entry of these two strikers upfront increased the pressure on LTC. However on a long ball Marc-Puig Ter Stegen comes off his line to clear the danger but is beaten by the striker who scored the second goal. 2-0 for the LTC. The ref ended the game a few minutes after and all players rushed back in the changing room frozen.

The second team showed during this game that they should not fear any other team but they also learned that they should be more clinical in front of the goal in order to make the best of their strong moments in the game.
