Sunny afternoon has greeted RBBFC as they were arriving in large numbers to the pitch in western outskirts of Brussels to face the opponent that has already been relegated but therefore more relaxed and so much more dangerous. On the other side good guys played for the season, for one more championship and for an unbeaten run that went on since game day 1 dating back last September season to match the team of 2015/2016.

Vestiaire/kledkammer 2 was ours for taking, unsuccessful connection to a speaker as big as JM’s Range Rover wheel didn’t bring the mood down. Fortunately, Keve from a nearby town of Grimbergen was there to play one of the 00’s hits and spark the already very good atmosphere. Rich and Hodge provided much needed focus and once more reminded us what we are all about and what are we there for.

We went out on the pitch with one goal, to win! Great start to a game with RBBFC attacking the opponent from all sides, unfortunately without success in the first half but with some amazing opportunities and great play shown across the whole team. Entente didn’t have a single chance, Kris ‘amazing hair’ Mercelis once again jobless. We went on the halftime with the result levelled, 0-0.

Half time team talk brought much needed forte to the team and golden subs the fresh energy. Second half started as the first with RBBFC being in control and building siege around very good Entente goalie (real MoM of this game). One of these resulted in goal from Richard, following by a speedy goal from Gimeno. Another few great chances by attacking duo Kellerman-McGrath but RBBFC goal scoring sheet was closed by McGeehan with another goal confirming his top goalscorer position of 1st team and the club. Least but not least, we managed to concede a goal in the last 10 minutes making some silly mistakes. However, this didn’t kill our game and our thoughts were there to win this with even more goal difference, but we were unlucky in the final half. Final result, 1-3 to the good guys with post-match Mom vote going to Luka (thanks to my private supporters).

To sum up the season, great one boyziez! Too bad football gods weren’t on our side till the very end, but we all know we are the real winners, on and off the pitch. Lovely being a member of the first team for the past 5 seasons and witnessing the sheer power of RBBFC 1st team football. Long lasting class! Soon, new season, new chance to prove our worth. Take pleasure off the pitch now (after cup is won)!
