As usual, the team is very strong. It is especially attack-minded with a top class bench of:

Hodgy, Tarik, Andy, Ben, Daniele.

The game had just started when RBBFC conceded a quickly played corner at the near post (perhaps the players were feeling sick from the hot dogs and high quality "beers” consumed the night before at the USG game). Five minute after the first goal, 'Coin du Balai' goes for a long through ball over the defence. Antti had followed but he remembered the last game when he scored a header in the empty goal. Unfortunately this time it was in his own goal.

So, RBBFC is down 2-0 after ten minutes. The away team was always confident and knew they had to be patient to find the right opportunities. RBBFC had possession and spread the ball well on the wings. The first goal came from the left side after a splendid low cross from Antti who found Daniel at the penalty spot who finished easily from close range.The experienced RBBFC defence had understood the opponent tactic of sending the ball to their striker who headed for the wingers. From that moment 'Coin du Balai' no longer existed. The attacks were multiplying (crosses, through balls, free-kicks, long shots...).

The second goal was about to come.

Half time: Daniele came in (offside) for Nils and Ben for Decio.

The intentions were the same, keep pushing for a second goal and go for the win. The players understood the assignment, Daniele scores after a pass from Paul but he’s offside. The ball moved quickly from the defence through the middle to the attack. The midfielders were unmarked, the wingers hug the line, strikers in the box. Everything was there for a comeback. The opposition defence was about to collapse. Tarik made his apparition in midfield for Martino so Luka can goes up on the pitch and Paul moved to striker. Andy was introduced for Martijn as a centre-back. This is where Mr. Philpot comes in. The young/old defender gets the ball back to the opponent, who thought that grandpa Philpot didn't have the strength to get it back. "Reece" James fires a cannonball on the right hand of the goalkeeper from 20 yards.

Just before the end of the game, Luka find Paul in the middle, he decided to give it to Antti on the left side where he managed to pass his defender and cross for Luka who scores. But again disallowed because of a "foul” by Paul who hit the player like a truck in his run. (I will not say anything about the ref otherwise I will get a yellow).

The game ended 2-2, on the whole we can be disappointed but we also showed how tight we were as a team even if we were 2-0 down after 10 minutes. Let's take the positives from this game and erase the small mistakes that cost us dearly and no one can stop us from lifting the trophy.
