RBBFC 1 faced Choule on a windy afternoon in Rosieres and despite absentees, RBBFC was able to field a team that was strong enough to prolong the winning run.

The strong headwind in the 1st half meant that playing long balls would be challenging and we should rather keep the ball in the ground. The first chance came when Charlie was through and,while the ball was still bouncing, tried to lob the keeper, but unfortunately couldn’t find the target. Towards the end of the half Danielle found himself in a good position but couldn’t keep his shot low enough.

Choule had their chances as well. The most threatening perhaps when a long-range effort seemed to be heading to the top corner, but Kris was there to make a fine save.

0-0 half time.It felt like we were doing the right things and we should just carry on; moving the ball first to midfield, then over to the wings and whipping in crosses. Plus, it would be Choule facing the headwinds in the 2nd half.

Paul was the first to come on from the, once again, really strong bench. Then Martijn for Decio, saw Jean gain possession of that warm wind proof 'North Face' jacket on the sidelines.

Unfortunately, despite RBBFC having most of the possession, it was Choule that opened the scoring. A low cross from the right found a striker who to some seemed to be offside.

The ref didn’t agree with that view and 0-1 it was.

RBBFC would need to find a goal now and the last sub was the captain himself replacing Charlie upfront.

However, moments later it went from bad to worse. Counter attack from the middle led to a 1on1 against Kris. A well taken shot hit the top corner, no chance for the RBBFC keeper, 0-2.

Despite numerous good free kicks and corners, the Choule keeper wasn’t really tested,and the visitors were able to keep their two goal lead until the end.

It must be said, Choule had a good afternoon. They stayed compact and took their chances well.

Days like this area reminder that a win requires a good performance – and that’s what we will have against Portugal.

The perfect chance to show that this was nothing but an off-day. C’mon boys!
